Siskiyou County Extends Covid-19 Emergency Orders

July 31, 2020 By Admin

The Presiding Judge for the Superior Court, County of Siskiyou (Yreka, CA) applied for and received an extension of Covid-19 Emergency Orders. Among other things, the court’s emergency order will extend the time for the commencement of jury trials by up to 30 days if the last date for trial would have expired between August 3, 2020 and September 21, 2020. This order will primarily affect matters in which the defendant did not waive their statutory right to a speedy trial.

The court also prepared a local order to implement the Emergency Order.
